Unite Against Covid-19
Voyage is proud to be part of the team behind New Zealand’s initial response to Covid-19, building the covid19.govt.nz website in less than 48 hours. Working with Clemenger BBDO Wellington on design, we developed what would soon become one of New Zealand’s most visited websites.
Brief
The initial briefing came in at 6:30pm on a Monday, with the site set to go live shortly after the Prime Minister’s announcement on the Wednesday at 9am. A massive through-the-night effort saw the Voyage team provided an efficient SilverStripe development, standing up a complete site which was to act as the key information hub for all official New Zealand Covid-19 information throughout the global pandemic
Outcome
The project included frontend development, backend development, SilverStripe CMS and 24/7 support. Following the deployment, our response team continued to work around the clock, managing huge traffic volumes, and design and development updates as the situation evolved. Each press release brought new challenges for our team to apply ourselves too.
